Since 2015, the Austrian Throwdown has evolved into the defining stage of Functional Fitness in Austria. What began as a grassroots community event is now the benchmark for competitive fitness experiences – uniting athletes, brands, and spectators in a setting that is as refined as it is intense.

Hosted at Arena Nova Wiener Neustadt, the event blends elite competition with a carefully curated atmosphere of community, performance, and Austrian hospitality. Under the direction of AMRAP GmbH, the Austrian Throwdown continues to set new standards – thoughtfully designed, precisely executed, and constantly evolving.

In 2026, the scale reaches a new dimension.

600 athletes from across Europe will take the floor, competing across multiple competition stages – expanding from one to at least two floors for a more fluid, dynamic, and immersive experience. Every detail is built to elevate performance and spectator experience alike – from the intensity on the competition floor to the curated energy across all experience areas.

The Main Stage becomes the centerpiece: a space where elite athletes perform at the highest level, where moments turn into memories, and where the atmosphere is nothing short of electric. Around it, the Vendor Village, workshops, and community spaces form a complete ecosystem – designed not just to host an event, but to create an experience.

And 2026 introduces a new level of accessibility:

The Scaled Division.
For the first time, the Austrian Throwdown opens its competitive stage to a broader field of athletes. Designed for ambitious beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts alike, it offers the opportunity to step into the arena – without compromising the integrity of elite competition.

Up to 600 athletes from across Europe take the floor, competing in a refined division structure – from Elite to Scaled, from Teens to Masters. Each category is designed to ensure fair, challenging, and professionally executed competition at every level.

Expanded across multiple competition floors, the format delivers a seamless and dynamic flow throughout the event. Professional judging, transparent live scoring, and carefully programmed workouts create an environment where performance is measured with precision and integrity.

All of this is elevated by experienced commentators who guide spectators through every moment – from strategic nuances to defining performances.

Community Activation Zone – Participate Instead of Just Watching: The Austrian Throwdown spirit: Everyone can participate! Over 10 workshops and sessions await you. Learn from Austrian top coaches, improve your technique, make new contacts. Boxes from all over Austria present their programs – from weightlifting clinics to mobility flows.

Knowledge Stage with Expert Knowledge: Concentrated know-how on one stage. National and international speakers share their expertise. Training, nutrition, business, mindset – all topics that move the community. Hybrid concept means: Be there live and deepen online later. Knowledge that takes you further.

Festival Atmosphere – Austrian Hospitality: A festival lives from its atmosphere – and it's legendary at the Austrian Throwdown. Food court with regional specialties and fitness food, Recovery Area for relaxation, Community Gathering for networking. Friendships are formed here that go beyond sports.
